My Top 5 Strengths (According to Gallup)

Earlier this month, our department at work had the opportunity to take Gallup's CliftonStrengths assessment and attend a half-day workshop to dive deeper into our results.

My Top 5 CliftonStrengths

Here are my top five strengths according to Gallup.

1. Empathy

"People who are especially talented in the Empathy theme can sense the feelings of other people by imagining themselves in others’ lives or others’ situations."

2. Developer

"People who are especially talented in the Developer theme recognize and cultivate the potential in others. They spot the signs of each small improvement and derive satisfaction from these improvements."

3. Consistency

"People who are especially talented in the Consistency theme are keenly aware of the need to treat people the same. They try to treat everyone in the world with consistency by setting up clear rules and adhering to them."

4. Harmony

"People who are especially talented in the Harmony theme look for consensus. They don’t enjoy conflict; rather, they seek areas of agreement."

5. Adaptability

"People who are especially talented in the Adaptability theme prefer to 'go with the flow.'  They tend to be 'now' people who take things as they come and discover the future one day at a time."

Girl Develop It: Intro to Git

This past Wednesday I attended a Girl Develop It meet-up in Durham for an intro to Git. Everything was done via the terminal, and it was not the most intuitive thing I've ever done. The workshop was only a couple hours long. It could have been a lot longer (perhaps even a series), but then again it was only meant to be an introduction.

I can say that I know more about Git than before attending the meet-up; however, there is still a lot to learn.
